Qualification/Educational Criteria : Candidates who wish to apply for this post must posess the following skill and criteria: Qualified B.A OR B.Sc Degree in Geography, Mathematics, Statistics of any recognzied College Govt. of India.

No of Post : 16

Age Limit(in yrs) : Interested candidates who are appearing for this post should have the age of 25 years.

Pay Scale/Salary(in Rs.) : Selected candidates would be eligible to get the pay scale of around Rs.5,200 to 20,200/- P.M.

Application Fees : Application Fees have to Rs.50/- in the form of "Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)" Only. No Fee for SC, ST, Physically Handicapped and Ex-Serviceman Candidates.

Mode of Selection : Selection will be based on Interview / Personality Test / Skill Test.

Staff Selection Commission popularly known as SSC was established in 1977 under resolution number 46/1/(S)/74-Estt. (B) dated 04/11/1975. The mandate of the Commission is to conduct examinations. It makes recruitment in Group ‘C’ & Group ‘B’ Non-gazatted posts in Ministries and Departments of Govt. of India. The Commission has its Headquarters in New Delhi. There are 9 Regional Offices / Sub-Regional Offices of the Commission to assist in the conduct of examinations. The Eastern Regional office of the commission is located in Kolkata and has territorial jurisdiction over West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Sikkim and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
